We are flexible about how people volunteer with us, whether that’s on a regular day each week, once a month, or just occasionally when time allows. Many of our team members volunteer regularly, either for a couple of hours or for a full day.

We have a range of volunteering roles available. This includes vehicle maintenance and front of house and events volunteers as well as tour guides and stewards.

Castletown D-Day Museum needs people like you to help preserve the memory of what happened on Portland in 1944. For thousands of U.S soldiers, this was the last home they knew before losing their lives on D-Day. We value those who support us in our mission to preserve their memory, offering discounted lunches at Dorset Adventure Cafe just over the road and paying for your travel to and from the Centre.
